Väinö Tanner Foundation is an independent private Finnish Foundation which has supported Finnish and Estonian art and literature by providing residences for Finnish and Estonian artists, artisans, writers, poets and translators for more than 25 years in Mazzano Romano near Rome, Italy.
Artist residences
In 2017 the available periods for Estonian artists and artisans are in the old studio residence (1. studio) are January – June 2017 and in the new studio residence (2. studio) January – April and November – December 2017, in both residences for 2 or 4 consecutive months.
Writer´s House
In 2017 the available periods for Estonian writers, poets and translators in the Writers´s house are January – May 2017 for 1 month or 2 consecutive months.
